Daily Breakdown
You’ll depart from Nairobi for Amboseli National Park. Most famous for its stunning views of Africa’s highest mountain, Mt. Kilimanjaro, the park offers photographers the rare opportunity to snap photos of elephants, lions, zebras, and giraffes against the startling backdrop of Africa’s most famous mountain.
You’ll have lunch at your lodge upon arrival before heading out into the park for an afternoon game drive.
This day is yours to explore the Amboseli national park, with a morning and afternoon sunset game drive.
Have breakfast and depart for Aberdare’s to arrive at mid-morning. Arrive at lunchtime served at the ark lodge. Enjoy lunch before having a game drive and retiring to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
The rugged landscape of Samburu national park provides seclusion from the outside world, allowing you and your family to unwind and disconnect while soaking up the sunshine. Shortly after arriving, you shall have your hot lunch at the lodge before departing on an afternoon game drive.
After breakfast, your experienced driver-guide will pull up in a 4×4 vehicle and whisk you away into the wilderness to discover more of Samburu and Buffalo Springs Game Reserve. During your adventures across dry riverbeds, up gaunt hills, and along luxuriant pastures, you may also spot Samburu’s iconic Special Five. This day you may decide with your driver-guide to enjoy a full day or morning followed by an evening game drive.
Depart for Lake Nakuru after breakfast to arrive at lunchtime. Between 2 PM and 4 PM, it is your chance to relax by the pool or in your room for a while. You shall then depart for a game drive before returning to the lodge for your hot buffet dinner.
This shall be the final national park visit of this family vacation in Kenya. You’ll arrive in the Maasai Mara in time for lunch and a long afternoon game drive on day 7. Two days will provide ample opportunity to explore the wonders of this park. Gaze upon swamps that are filled with hippos, watch elephants slowly wander into the sunset, and continue your first-hand experience of nature’s great predators. Your lodge is deep within the wilderness, ensuring that animal sightings continue throughout the night. Perhaps a herd of buffalo makes a closer inspection of the lodge. Or a giraffe silently walks past in the mid-afternoon sun. A unique animal world surrounds you, and an unforgettable succession of sights provides an experience that is difficult to find anywhere else on the planet.
Though your safari experience in Kenya will reach the end of the road today. After breakfast, you will gather your things and revel in a game drive that will lead you to a few remaining animal viewing hotspots as you drive back to the masai mara sekanani gate. You shall arrive in Nairobi by midday and be dropped back to the airport to catch your flight back home.
